David - to cut to the chase, you'll probably never get the colors just as you see them - the variations of monitor settings, software, scanner settings, etc. make it difficult at times to say the least - I do this type of work almost every day and I would suggest just doing the best you can - unless you want to invest a few hundred hours of learning and some money for Photoshop I'd describe the colors to the best of your ability and get on down the road - just my 2 chips worth - DB
