Trop Card Room...A little info

In a message posted earlier I answered Skip in his quest of who is telling the truth......The authors of TCR or James & Steve involving a "card room" chip from the Trop? I stated that it was not a matter of truth but a matter of information and James 7 Steve happen to be correct. About 5 minutes after my post here comes an email asking me for anymore info I could provide. Since it is 3:45a.m. here in Las Vegas on Tuesday morning I will do my best. vbg

The Trop had a GREAT card room years ago that was noted for its 7 card stud games. If you wanted to play serious stud you went to the Trop.
The reputation developed AFTER the Golden Nugget closed their poker room. The Nugget was also noted for their 7 card stud games as well as their "crooked" Razz games. (That's another story).

When the Trop closed their card room all card room chips that were located in the card room bank were turned over to the cage for accountability. The cage as was the practice years ago left them sitting for many years collecting dust. A new cage manager was assigned who, to the best of my knowledge, did not like them on the cage accountability sheet and had the chips destroyed. Very few chips ever got out to the general public.

No I didn't collect chips back than but I did play serious stud! grin

Best, Mr."P"
