New $2 Hollywood Tunica Chip!

I went to Hollywood Casino in Tunica, Mississippi last week to play some Texas Hold-Em, and I picked up some of these very unique $2 denomination chips. This is the first time I've ever encountered $2 CHIPS (I've seen $2 slot tokens) in Tunica! I found out they recently made these chips exclusively for their poker tables, but not for the players to use for betting purposes! Instead, the dealers are supposed to use them to when they are dropping the "vig" into the box. Seems the $1 chips they normally drop filled up the boxes, which weren't emptied except once every 24 hours. To keep the boxes from filling up too fast they made these $2 chips to alleviate the problem.

The brushperson and dealers were very protective of the chips, treating them almost like roulette cheques! The players couldn't even HAVE them, much less use them to make bets, and the dealers were supposed to keep them in their tray except to drop in the vig box. However, I was able to persuade a new girl at the desk to sell me a few with the promise I wouldn't use them for betting!

I have some for sale now for $5 each, including postage, or two for $9. E-mail me if you'd like some!
