Yesterday at nearby Turning Stone I had been playing 7 card for four hours; was a few bucks ahead (and would have been well ahead if the rule wasn't that full houses beat flushes) when I picked up the AK of diamonds down and the QD up; after some play when I got a QC up and then a JD up, we went to the river; I had one caller to my right to that point--he having a middle straight going; I peeked at my river card and it was the 10D; so I cleverly bet the max ($5--I play cheap games); the guy thought and thought and finally said, "I know you got your flush but I'd like to see it." I said, "I would have shown it anyway and flipped the royal. Made $38 on it. Wow! Second royal in a year and a month at the Indians. Then I tire so I leave the game, and on the way out the door sit down at a quarter vid poker machine and wouldn't you know it, 5 minutes later I hit another ddiamond royal - only this one payed $1,000. Go figure. On top of that I cound my cadillac in the parking lot.
