I am a major Tiger Woods fan and it broke my heart that he did not win the US Open today - that would have been a nice bonus to my Father's Day.

The rest of my day was great.

My middle son and three of my four Grandchildren came over to spend some quality time with Pop-Pop.

We played with two of the older Grandkids on the "Beach" in the front of the my house - really a 20' x 40'deluxe sand box located behind a bulkhead right next to the river I live on.

Later my youngest Grandson - 7 months old fell asleep on my lap as I watched the final holes of the US Open.

Now to the "CHIP" part of the story. I got so caught up playing with the Grandkids and watching the US Open, I forgot I had a bid in on the only one of the 14 original Hard Rock Numbrered Roulette Chips I did not have in my collection.

After dinner and kissing all the Grandkids good bye, I remembered the chip !!!

I sat down at the computer to see if I had won the Orange #2 chip that I had bid on. My wife said "I hope you got the chip, it would ease the pain of Tiger not winning the US Open."

Well guess what??? I got hte chip !!

Just for the record book my maximum bid was $888.88 and I actually outbid my buddy Skip "Goldplated" Harouff.

This chip was not my "Holy Grail" like Tyrus's Little Ceasar $5 - I have so many chips I really want I don't have a single "Holy Grail" chip, but I have been trying to get this one for several years and now my 14 piece set of classic Hard Rock Roulette chips is complete.

Moral of the story - have fun with your favorite pastimes: golf, chips or whatever, but remember what is really important in life - your family and your friends.

I hope everyone had as good of a Father's Day as I did.
