Scammer Vic

You can do whatever you want. You just won't be trading with us, because you're a thief. And I notice nobody has mustered up any sympathy for you being "bullied" by many people pointing out you are a thief.

> It's a shame that they're

It's spelled "their".

They certainly don't. In fact, it's one of the strengths of the club is to have members looking out for other members, warning of very possible scams from con artists like yourself. You, of course, aren't a club member, because you refuse to abide by the club's rules of ethics.

That's odd. It seems like the MAJORITY of posters here consider you a scammer. This is not just from my form-letter warnings. Rather, it's from their own bad experiences with you.

> My $1 collection has grown to over 1,400 chips

And over 800 of them have been acquired WITHOUT ripping anybody off! (snicker) I've got more than 2,300 chips, 600 tokens, 250 slot cards, and 300 matchbooks without ripping anybody off. My collection includes nine of your chips, but I've disinfected them.

> and, despite Wayne’s irrational warnings to
> other new chippers,

That explains a lot - you consider that others worrying about you ripping them off is "irrational". You have some severe attitude problems.

> I continue to actively trade.

Oh, right - you actively trade, and you posted a list of names of people with whom you've traded. After that, several people publically stated that they would no longer trade from you.

> Wayne's still holding a lot of pent up anger

With excellent reason - you charged $16.65 for shipping and handling, mailed me 9 chips in a single white envelope with $1.29 postage on it, and abandoned your former eBay account because you were ashamed of the negative feedbacks. And you are upset because I won't keep quiet about it.

> I think he understands the eBay policies now,

I certainly do! eBay's policies on fee avoidance prohibit sellers from jacking up the shipping and handling costs by selling items at very low prices. That's not only exactly what you did, you even admitted doing it.

> but it was a psychologically painful experience
> for him.

Not at all! The actual problem is that you assume all potential traders on this board are as ignorant as you are, or have an attention span as short as yours. People remember when you rip them off - there are at least SIX different regular posters here whom you've wronged, and they certainly won't encourage others to trade with you in the hopes that the "law of averages" kicks in since you're statistically overdue for a trade with no problems.

> I think his brain is still spinning…

You just can't seem to get the point that screwing over other people without apology or retribution isn't automatically forgivable, can you?

> and I’m sure that you can expect to see another
> ranting from him soon

Well, if you're stupid enough to keep posting here, I'll take any opportunity to explain exactly the reasoning why your name is "Mud" around here.

> as he once again tries to justify why his
> ignorance of eBay bidding policies,

Uh, Vic? In our botched transaction, you were the seller, and I was the buyer. Avoiding "Final Value Fees" by jacking up the shipping and handling is a violation of eBay policies by the seller, not the buyer. There are no explicit or implicit "eBay bidding policies" which require the buyer to assume that the seller is necessarily a crook like you turned out to be.

> and inability to find an alternative resolution,
> was logical.

Oh, of course, it's logical - some people like you are incapable of knowing right from wrong, and cannot understand why what they did was wrong. You have no logical standing to assume, though, that your past shady activities will simply go away and not interfere in your future dealings.

Vic, that URL refers to a post by you, not by Ken Nestle. In fact, the above post you contributed was met with three big criticism responses, which you ignored. The "reasonable" outcome was that Ken resigned himself to sending the seller the money, including the excessive postage charge, and writing it off as a bad experience. You would certainly support that, because it would make you feel better about you doing the same thing to everyone else. But consider our situation from Ken's viewpoint. Do you think Ken would sit by quietly and say nothing if the Australian trader who gouged him on shipping showed up on TheChipBoard every week, pretending ignorance of his past scams, and offered trades to other CC+GTCC members? Especially if the Australian trader wouldn't join the CC+GTCC because of the ethical trade rules, and got thrown out of his "Deep South Australia" chapter for unethical behavior? That would be an analogy to our situation, and it would be foolish to assume that Ken would not feel bound to warn others of his bad experience with the Australian trader.

At no point in your latest post did you even acknowledge the problems with our transaction, much less make any offer to compromise or otherwise resolve what has turned into a public relations nightmare for you. An offer of ten bucks would silence your most vocal critic, but your reputation isn't worth that paltry sum even to you. That figures.

> I doubt he’ll be harassing the seller as Wayne
> continues to do.

Of course, for reasons I stated above: the seller isn't as annoying as you are, showing up every week with a new proposed scam on TheChipBoard, while there are still regular posters on TheChipBoard whom you've ripped off. Have you noticed that you don't get harassed unless and until you post here and refuse to address your prior problems?

> Another lesson to be learned here.

As always, a valuable lesson - if you're trading with Vic Galante, keep an eye on your watch and wallet.
