A safe way to trade chips...feedback please

Here is a suggestion to those of you who do chip trading at meeting, shows, etc., and don't want to physically carry binders, cases, or bags of chips around.

I recommend scanning the fronts and backs of your traders and bringing the sheets with you instead of the chips. You can lay the chips out on your scanner glass in such a way so you will have space to enter pertinent information such as price, condition, TCR #, etc. When a collector wants to trade you simply either place their name or a number representing their name on the chip. When you get home you ship.

I realize this is not anywhere as exciting as trading for chips on the spot, but it will free you from theft, the tedium of carrying them around, and having to worry about them when left in your room at a show or the convention.

The reason, for me, to like this method of trading, is because on my first trade at a meeting I had a few chips stolen from my binder.

I know that most chippers are responsible, trustworthy people, but this left me with a bad experience not easily forgotten.

So, please let me know if you would be open to trading with someone with scans. Any other feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ron
