For long-time North Jersey Collectors

You Know You're From Newark When...

You've eaten a Jimmy Buff's and loved it.

You shop at Bamberger's, Klein's, Ohrbachs, Kresge's and Hahne's.

You went "down the shore" on you summer vacation.

You went "up the lake" on Sunday afternoons.

You went to the "feast" at least once in your childhood.

You know where Olympic Park was.

You went to Rye Beach, or Palisades Park or Bear Mountain on your grammar
school class trip.

You've always wanted to be a Rockette (if you're a girl).

You've always wanted to be an outfielder for the New York Yankees (if you're
a boy).

You know at least one person who knew Connie Francis.

You know at least one person who knew one member of the Four Seasons.

You know at least one person who knew Frank Sinatra.

You know at least one person who knew Richie “the Boot”.

You think South Orange was in the mountains.

You know what a "Ting-a-ling" hot dog was.

You never went through a summer without real lemon ice.

You know where to find fresh mozzarella and home-made raviolis and sausage.

You think Branch Brook Park and Sacred Heart Cathedral are the eighth and
ninth Wonders of the World.

You consider anything east of Route 1; south of the airport; north of
Bloomfield Avenue and west of the Parkway are not really in New Jersey.

You know that Breyer's makes the best ice-cream.

You know that Ballantine makes the best beer.

You know that Tastee makes the best bread.

You know what a "stoop" is.

You think that the Adams Theater on Branford Place is bigger and better than
Radio City Music Hall.

You don't think of citrus when people mention "the Oranges".

You've ordered a hard roll with butter for breakfast.

You remember that the "Two Guys" were from Harrison.

You know what a jug handle is.

You know that ours is the only "New" State that doesn't require the "New"
(like try...Mexico, York, Hampshire; it doesn't work.)

You consider a corned beef sandwich with lettuce and mayo a sacrilege.

You've eaten a boardwalk cheese steak with vinegar fries.

You started planning your Memorial Day weekend in February.

You never pumped your own gas.

You know where "down neck" is.
