Lance Burton is always a good entertaining show. Nothing spectacular, but a very good and very entertaining show at a very reasonable price. A bonus to Lance Burton (at the Monte Carlo) is that the Lance Burtoin theatre isn't too big. You can always get a decent seat.

A few other excellent shows you should consider are:

Danny Ganz- In my humble In fact, I'll go as far as to say he is still the BEST show in Vegas. Vegas Magazine voted him best performer and best show a gazillion years in a row. I'm not sure if thats still the case, or if they've decided to share the honors with other performers yet.

I've seen him 5 times, and every singletime, I am always pleased and amazed. Not one of the cheapest shows around, but it's certainly the best. I have never found a person that wasn't totally happy with the performance and hadn't said "WOW" at least a dozen times during the show. There has never been an impressionist of his caliber. He can do impressions both speaking as well as singing both as a man as well as a woman. He just happerns to have a full 4 octive range! He changes voices and does duets with him self. Not only is he able to mimic almost anyone, but he can switch back and forth and never miss a beat. And he is funny as all get out.

In my opinion, if you haven't seen him yet, you're depriving yourself bigtime.

Penn and Teller- These guys put on a great show in Vegas at the Rio. They invite people up on stage to inspect the props and aparatus, and then start the show explaining how tricks work. Then they perform them, and just as you think you know whats happening, they do it differently, and you are wondering how the hell did they do that. They aren't always politically correct, yet the audience never seems to mind. When I say "they", I actually mean Penn Gilette (the tall one), because teller (the short one)never speaks. The tricks are extrememly creative. This isnt your usual vegas magic show, it's very interesting, very funny, and the tricks and illusions are way beyond the usual cookie cutter stuff.

There there you have it, my top two pick for Vegas shows.

I hear that Celine Dion does a great job, but personally, after 2 songs, I'm already getting tired of her. But maybe thats just me. Don't get me wrong, she has a fantasic voice, but Just not my cup of tea. Other people though, just seem to love her.
