A clarification about ordering Club merchandise...

Sometime I have trouble seeing the forest for the trees!

In a preceeding thread it was briefly discussed why CCGTCC merchandise did not appear in the most current issue of the Casino Chip and Token News (CCTN). Aside from the explanation given, I was advised to re-read CCGTCC President Mike Skelton's earlier post on the Club's BBS regarding the appointment of a new Promotions Director (Roy Nelson).

In that messsage Mike stated:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am proud to announce that Mr. Roy Nelson of Las Vegas, NV has been appointed the Club’s new Promotions and Property Director.

"Roy will be assuming the duties formerly handled by Tyrus Mulkey and there will be a transition period over the next 30-45 days. All the Club merchandise will be inventoried and along with the Club property, moved to new storage facilities, more convenient for Roy to access. During this period, Promotions related questions will be directed through the website to Club Secretary Belinda Hixon. We ask for your patience and understanding during this transition period.

We are excited that Roy has offered his time and talents to oversee this critical component of our organization. I hope that all the members will join us in welcoming Roy to his new position."

Because of all the complications involved with moving the merchandise, doing the inventory, preparing for the Convention, etc. it was decided to not include the normal advertising pages in the CCTN. The consideration was to not risk losing member orders, or allowing new ones to languish during the transition.

Having personally being involved with two previous Promotions transitions, I can see the logic behind this decission.

As stated by Mike, please allow the transition to take effect, after which an announcement will be made that the store is re-opened.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.
