Are these old slot tokens? I never seen any quite this crude, The one from the Claim Stake (both sides shown) looks like the normal $1 token and has some heft to it but the metal looks very cheap. They are 1 1/2" in diameter and are in excellent condition but are drilled. The King of Clubs token appears to be just a piece of steel (1 3/4" dia) with the name and amount stamped on it. Were these the very early attempts to replace the silver dollars when they all disappeared from circulation? Are these of any value?
