new release New Tunica chips new release

This is a picture of the chips from the new "Resorts Tunica" casino. This casino opened on Tuesday, 4/26/05, where the Harrah's Mardi Gras Casino used to be (which several years before, was the old "Southern Belle" casino!). Resorts Tunica also has black ($100) and purple ($500) chips, but I didn't bring any of those home. sad I have an eBay auction for this set but will try to obtain some extras for direct sale.

One thing I like about the chips is that as they progress higher in denomination, the inlay (?) picture, in general, goes from a game w/a higher house edge to a lower house edge.

$1 chip = Big Six Wheel (horrific house edge)
$2.50 = The "insurance" bet on BJ; like they say, never take insurance! (major house edge)
$5 = roulette (major house edge)
$25 = royal flush (some kind of carnival game; big house edge)
$100 (not shown) = Craps layout (small house edge for the knowledgable player)
$500 (not shown) = A blackjack [ace & jack] (small house edge for the basic strategy player)
$1000 and above = ???? To my knowledge, no chips of these denominations were put on the tables at this time (although surely they have some in the cage).

I also heard, from a very reliable source, about a HORRIBLE occurrance that happened at Harrah's Tunica, which I will share when I have more time to compose the message. It is a story that will make every collector of Harrah's or Tunica casino stuff shudder. . .

By the way, I was reading the thread regarding tipping, and my casino rule is, as always, tip generously for great customer service; not necessarily for winning or losing. How the dealer, server, cashier, etc., treats me and what they do to make my visit a pleasurable one factors the most into whether my tip/tokes are generous or non-existent. My biggest problem is I'm too soft-hearted most of the time, and tip/toke too much to someone who in honesty doesn't deserve it!
