Re: Going To Europe

(comfortable clothes are fine, no tennis shoes).

When we were in Amsterdam I had and hour or so free and wanted to see the casino which was near the diamond cutting shop we toured. Everyone else went their own way and I hit the casino. I knew that they had a dress code but never thought about the shoes. Needless to say they wouldn't let me in with my tennis shoes on. Apparently I wasn't the only one in that position since the guy at the door told me to go around the corner to the shoe store where they have a rack of "casino shoes". The pair I got only cost $70 and were only 1/2 size too small. The only pair that fit would have cost over $100 and that was too much for ugly shoes. After paying my $12 casino entrance fee I was finally in! It was then that I discovered that the chips were the same as the other Holland casino I was in the night before. sad And to top it all off I proceeded to lose about $100 gambling over the next 15 minutes. Not one of my better afternoons at the casino.

To answer your question, yes there is interest in foreign chips. I have never had any difficulity getting rid of foreign chips. If nothing else they make great traders.
