He was a young guy, probably early twenties, and he had about 5 friends with him of the same age. The friends were telling him, "don't do it! it took you 2 hours to win that at the craps table, don't blow it all on one spin!" So, he took half the money back, and let the $500 ride - number came up red. He did it again, to great howling of despair from his friends - red again. Easy come, easy go - he was now just as poor as his buddies; probably better off in the long run!
