Bruce Landau was club member #002 and the Treasurer for about the first 5 years. He was the chairman of the annual club auction until he died a few years ago at the age of 56. His close friend, Gene Grossblatt, Bruce and I started the Hall of Fame program about 10 years ago. Bruce was a great guy and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bruce had the largest Nevada chip collection known at the time when it was sold to Jerry Wall for over half a million.

I am happy to say, that as of last night when I received an email from him, that Howdy Herz is still alive and well. The report of his demise is a gross exaggeration.
