Re: NCR Can you say "High Maintenance"?

Bristol is one of just six NHRA National event tracks that I haven't been to at least once. It's a track that I'd like to go to one of these years.

Top Fuel drag racing. 0-100 miles per hour in .8 seconds, 0-275 miles per hour in 660 feet. A pair of Top Fuel dragsters leaving the starting line registers 2.3 on the richter scale. The noise moves beyond the normal meaning of the word "sound", it is physically disturbing. A fighter pilot launching his plane from the deck or an aircraft carrier will experience g-forces of about 2.5. A Top Fuel driver will experience g-forces more than double that on a launch and negative g-forces of 7 to 8 when he deploys the chutes to stop the car.

Modern day drag racing is an incredible sport, far more sensory intensive than what you see on TV, and every ticket is a pit pass. ...just a few of the reasons why I attend 15-20 events a year. It also doesn't hurt that I have a seat in the tower at every event.
