Just got back yesterday from a tour of the poker rooms in Vegas. The new room at the MGM is, well, grand. It's really a beautiful room and, like almost all rooms in Vegas these days, smoke free (yeaaa).

They are in the "shake down" phase as far as dealers and floor people are concerned. Lots of extras including a comp program (which is a treat for most poker players who are used to being treated like scum by the places they play), an electronic system on the tables to track your play and tell the floor when there is an open seat and a wait list that's on a screen behind the desk so you can see exactly where you are on the list. Lower limits thus far, 2-4 to 10-20 and a couple of no limit games. No tournaments yet but those are planned. All in all, well worth a visit.
