Got this chip today, a Hotel Last Frontier Western Village Silver Slipper Gambling Hall (Whew!)$5. Actually, a nifty chip, the scan doesn't show how ledgible and sharp the inlay is, but anyway...

The blurry eBay scan showed an anomaly that made me curious and having the chip in hand confirmed my observation. This chip has been almost drilled, half-drilled...wha? Neither guide mentions any cancelled chips in this issue and the woulda-been-a-hole doesn't line up for decorative purposes like a necklace, keyring, etc. Unmistakable drill bit artifact though.

Anybody got any input, opinions, speculation, guesses? Haven't gotten around to researching these Frontier joints yet, should be fun.
