I have no idea to properly describe a color. Maybe the same way one describes the flavors in wine? It seems to me that the colors on the older hot-stamped chips are "richer" than the colors on more modern chips.
The scan just doesn't do this chip justice. This is an UFC and I'd bet it's from a home game. Man, what I wouldn't give to have a set of these old clay chips to use!
