Thi is in fact a military club token used in Naples Italy. It could be used either for credit purposes, or for use in a slot machine, or other mechanical device as at the time troops were paid in paper script. It currently has a worth of $2.00 - $3.00. There are several different varities as well as a 10c and 25c token.

There are many, many military tokens that were used in slot machines, mostly overseas locations where the locals could not complain so much to the base commander about the evils going on inside the gate. Vietnam probably holds the record and it was during that time period that the machines were pulled from the clubs.

While they have since returned, they now use good old American coins rather then tokens.

If you would like some additional military club tokens, I have a couple of thousand in stock, most at reasonable prices, and with some logos such as '777' and 'Hit the Jackpot' it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what they are for.

And then there are those military poker chips, but that is another story. . .
