The popularity of poker, and no limit hold'em in particular, is at an all time high. This being the case, poker rooms...both legal ones and illegal ones, continue to spring up all over the country.

One place where this is certainly true is New York city and its surrounding area.

Below is a scan of three different $1 chips from underground, illegal New York area poker rooms - Rounders, Play Station and OAASIS.

THIS POST IS TO DETERMINE IF ANYONE HAS INTEREST IN ADDING THESE CHIPS TO THEIR COLLECTION.

There are several other active poker rooms - the Sante Fe Club and the Midtown Club, among others. I hope to be able to obtain those chips as well.

One of the most infamous modern day New York city poker rooms was the Diamond Club. Several scenes from the Matt Damon movie "Rounders" were filmed there. This club opened and closed many times before the NYPD closed it permanently a couple of years ago. The Diamond Club $1 & $5 chips can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
