Home prices are still very expensive when compared to the prices here in Kansas City. A few years ago they were very similiar to KC prices but that is no longer the case. My whole family was READY to move to Vegas last year but the dramatic rise in housing in Vegas killed that idea. We decided that for the same price, we could build a mansion here in Kansas City so that's what we opted to do. Not building a mansion but it will be very nice compared to what we could get there.

We also keep hearing some not so good things about the schools there because of all the growth... Our daughter will be going into 9th grade and she is in excellant schools here right now. As a result, we are going to wait until she graduates in another 4 years and re-visit this idea.
