Regarding classless posts on this board ...

In preparation of the Grand Opening of my all-new website, I've been adding back issues of Chip Chat to the product list. As I do, I scan each issue to write a synopsis of the contents. I was amazed when I read the following paragraph, written by Doug Saito in September of 2001 titled "Just Passing Thoughts About Our Hobby..."!

"...of other crimes and misdemeanors. It seems the Hatfields and McCoys have taken over our hobby. Feuds between dealers, slabbers versus anti-slabbers. Geez, for newcomers being forced to choose which side to hate, you'd think the first thing they'd hate would be joining our hobby. The bickering and back-stabbing of the work-a-day world is what a hobby should make you forget. Believe me, it wasn't that long ago when chips and only chips were what hobbyists talked about, of their prices, history, background, origination, or manufacture. It’s the kind of stuff that made us hobbyists and not lobbyists. Father, bless us for we still know not what we do.”

Yea, I know Doug will kill me for posting that, but it sure hits home nearly four years later! I just had to highlight my favorite sentence in red!
