Over the years I've noticed that alot of "Splinter" groups have formed. The Silver Strikers, The PACK folk and the TITO folk are to name a few.

The chip folks seem to break down into the LE folks, the current $1 and $5 folks, and the OBS folks.

My current area of interest is in Fractionals. I know there are alot of collectors who are interested in the same. Fractionals are a collector interest than span all aspects and collector regions of the chip hobby.

With the dissapearence of these historical chips, the need to discuss and collect them becomes more and more evident as the years pass them by.

Many historical Fractional's are not even represented in private collections and are only recolected in publications like TCR and The US Guide.

These often overlooked chips are given a back burner to the much collected LE's abd OBS chips from the same Casino's.

My question is, does the membership feel that there is enough of a collector base to form a Fractional Collector Group?

As for the Fractional category itself, I (personally) would like to see only those chips that are a fraction of a 1$ chip. There is already a large collector base of $2.50 and above. I therefore feel that those chips fall into a different category, even though historically they fall under the Fractional category.
