This is about Route Tokens. If you don't collect tokens,don't read any further. When is a Route Token not a Route Token? Recently I have bought some tokens on eBay that are touted as being Route Tokens but they don't have the Route Company name on them and I was glad to get them because I did not have a token from that establishment. I have also seen some catalogs that have "no Route Company name" on the listing in the catalog and this leads me to believe that the cataloger believed it was a Route Token but without the Route Company name.

A couple of us token collectors have always believed that a Route Token should have the Route Company name on the token or it is not a Route Token. Many small bars and grills serviced their own machines without the use of a Route Company.
