I found this engraved chip at the Brimfield, Massachusetts fleamarkets a few years ago. It's slightly larger than a normal chip: 41mm. It appears to be made of a clay composite material similar to older casino chips. The image looks to me like some sort of medieval tiger. For some reason (that I can't explain) I have a feeling this chip is from Great Britian.
When I found this chip I posted a scan here in the hopes that someone would have some info. No luck. With the new interest in foreign chips / jetons / placques (spelling?) I thought, maybe, someone would be able to tell me something about it.
The chip is not for sale or trade. I just want to know its history.
Anybody?
