Dear Mr Perlowski

Thank you for you response before you 'got off the pot' grin Unfortunately you dimmed the light on your way out without turning it completely off.

I am prepared to concede there were oversize sports books in use at the Castaways, but I am not convinced they were the same ones that were remanufactured after the casino closed. I will make an appropriate amendment. Note my caveat regarding high denoms further up in the article.

When I spoke to James C about this, he indeed gave me the same details that you refer to above. However, he also stated that these were Carl Osborne's chips, and he was brokering a deal with Jerry. I admit I couldn't understand that as I know that Carl and Jerry knew each other anyway.

I am making further enquiries on this.

Seems to me it is you that have picked your information from what others wrote, and not me.

As I state, I mentioned the Foxy's Firehouse chips as they were mentioned by several people I spoke to. I know no more than I said. If youve got anything to say about them I should think everyone would be interested.

Now, as you basically inferred the whole article was wrong, are you now going to re-write the details of every other casino mentioned? Which other chips are you not happy about? I would love to know. Another thing that amused me was that you stated you had never met Osborne, nor cared to. Obviously you feel that the comments of the person that had the chips made and then sold them carries zero weight. How strange? Maybe the problem is that you dont like the idea of these chips at all and refuse to acknowledge them. If thats the case then just say so. The fact is that examples of all the chips I showed were made AFTER THE CASINO'S CLOSED, and most did not exist before.

This para in your original post confused me
"Over the years collectors have asked me to submit my articles to the club for publishing in our fine magazine. I have refused. Not because of any other reason than I write for ME. I share what I write with everyone. I publish my articles through my friend Andy Hughes who places them on his web site; but again I write for ME. It makes me feel good"

You say you share what you write with everyone, yet by not publishing in the magazine you miss the 2,000 club members that do not browse the internet. If you claim to know so much but obviously need someone to "sufficiently irritate you" before you reveal anything, what good does that do for anyone in the hobby?

Maybe this time you can respond to the questions I raised and not something entirely different.

Then you can untether your horse. Dont wait for me, I'm taking a rain-check. Remember to pack your banjo and garters.
