Don't Forget Discounts On Markers!

I've never had more than a few thousand in-play, but I recently learned from a $1million dollar player that Wynn had the stingiest "discount" on markers at the Bellagio, and that the property has stayed that way since the purchase by MGM. If you don't know about discounting, it's a common practice, here's how it works; lets say your markers end up totaling $1million, a common discount is 20%, meaning that you only ended up paying $800k to play with $1mil of the casinos money. HOWEVER, at Bellagio (according to my hi-roller friend), the discount would be more like 14%, so you'd pay $860k for the same action. This was incredible to me when I heard it, but low and behold, I've seen a recent reference to this practice regarding Poster & Breitling at the Nugget; a recent article mentioned that they gave generous discounts on debt in an effort to attract & keep hi-rollers... MUST BE NICE!!!
