This isn't about lighters and matches, it's about smokers and smoking. The shoe bomber is a straw man at this point, my Nike's get placed in a tub for scanning every time I go through airport security.

...as much as I travel, I doubt anyone would have enough time to light anything on an airplane these days. Too many passengers would be reacting to any flames within the cabin.
