My wife lost her driver’s license and got a new one issued and never thought about it again until this morning. A sergeant with the local police department who works at the high school called and said that they had moved a portable building and underneath it he found my wife’s driver’s license. They were no good any more because her name has changed twice (married twice) and they expired in 1971! It was the ORIGINAL driver’s license she was issued and still in pristine condition! The officer called and thought she might like to have them back, 34+ years later. We moved back to the town where she grew up and went to school and we are living in the house she was raised in, so the address even matched. Small wonders!
