Gee, that must have been a hard question I asked..

yesterday. 140+ hits, but not a single answer. Perhaps everyone is as confused as I am on this issue.................

By way of clarification, the refered to "company" is Osborne obo El Cortez, which had the counterfeits made. Here, again, is my question................

"Perhaps I am missing something here…………… If so, someone please explain. A few years ago there was much controversy over remanufactured chips by David W. (counterfeits), and the main concern was that these chips would be sold in the future as “real” chips. Several people were investigated, and sanctioned, by the club for their involvement, including the sale of these counterfeits.

Now, we have a company (Osborne) who made counterfeit chips, which were in fact sold by dealers as “real” chips and are now being offered for sale. The current chips are being sold as “counterfeit”, but what of these chips in the future?

Not to stir the pot, as it were, and at the risk of starting a “Great Debate”, I have to ask one question…………………… Except for an individual vs. a company, what is the difference???

Disclaimer……………… This is not directed at any one person nor a position statement on counterfeit chips. I just want to know……………"
