You get to the airport three hours before your flight is scheduled to leave. Get your boarding pass and check your luggage and head for the concourse. You check the arrivals/departures screens and see that your 3:57 departure is estimated to be 5:30. A glance at the arrivals shows a flight scheduled to arrive here from your destination city at 9:48 a.m. is now estimated to arrive at 4:04 p.m.!

My flight home was canceled due to weather in Colorado Springs. That's a first for me. I've flown into and out of that airport under some pretty nasty conditions, so it must have been bad.

Weather cancellations don't place liability on the airline for your lodging, or any other expenses for that matter. They still have to get you where you're going, but that's it.

Soooo, I need a room without an advance reservation. I'm thinking someplace close to the airport and call the San Remo from baggage claim (at least they kept track of my luggage and made sure it was available when I needed it). $35 for the night, done deal! Casino/hotel number 21, I don't know if I'm gonna live long enough to stay everywhere at least once, but I'm gonna try....

It was fantastic to see so many friends this past weekend! Terry and Barry, you guys are great! The game was almost too much fun being there with you guys! Sunday gives the best hugs on the planet, great to see you as always! Chuck gives the second best hugs on the planet , glad we had some time together.
