The Sands, like most casinos of it's type, was corrupt, and everything about it was for sale at one time. It is noted for having some of the best live entertanment of the srip. It's ownership was a problem for the new corporations, and the town they run now. But that casino and others like it is transformed Las Vegas into what it is now.

That mecca, and wht it stood for are gone for good. And it's paraphernalia continue to increase in value. Particularly after they leveled it.
