Chip History Is Alive And Well And..

..you never know when a new little tid bit of history will be made.
This might be a 1st as far as I know.
A year or so ago the owners of the Silverton Casino in LV were within a few days of closing the sale on the Las Vegas Hilton, when the deal went belly up. They had new chips ready and being held in the Silverton cage. My friend Darryl (at that time sales manager for new owners, B&G) at Paul-Son sold the chips. It was his last sale. Rest In Peace Darryl. I knew the rack was delivered to the Silverton but never saw them.
Scan of the Silveton/Hilton chips below.
Wayne Murphy brought them to me a couple days ago and asked if I needed the "New LV Hilton chips." My PS salesman was in the office. He said, thats the rack Darryl sold to the Silverton.

These are possibly the 1st rack bought by non-owners of a casino and later put in use by a 3rd party new owner.
Not a biggie but a small trivia question for somewhere down the road on the way to LV chip history buffs.
