Here is a first hand true story!
In Response To: Is this true? NCR ()

On a recent trip to Alban y NY a coupole months ago, I was forced to fly out of Flint, MI. So, I drove up the night before, and stayed a the Hiliday In Express by the Airport.

I paid for the park and fly package and left the next morning.

While at the airport for my return trip, I got a phone call from the manager of the Holiday Inn, telling me I parked my car in the wrong parking area and they were going to be repaving the blacktop parking lot that very day. Of course nobody told me not to park there, nor did they have a sign. Details, details.

I explained to him I wouldn't be back to Flint until 6:30 that night. He then suggested that I call the Dealership and autherize them to make a key, come over and open the car. I explained to him that the BMW dealership was in Toledo, and that I serious doubted that they would drive 2 1/2 hours to open my car for me and move it. At that point, I told him I was sorry there wasn't anything further I could do, as my flight was boarding at that very moment.

When I finally got to the Hotel, I found my car was no longer in the spot I had parked it. The manager was gone, and nobody knew anything about anything.

I had the asst manager try to call the general manager with no luck. I of course searched the parking lots to no avail. At that point, I informed the froint desk that I was calling the police and reporting the car stolen, and I would be giving the name of the manager as the suspect.

The assist manager said let me try one more thing. She call maintenence and spoke with the person there who said the car was parked in the parking lot of the hotel next door.

I went out and sure enough, the car was parked in the next hotel, and all doors were unlocked and the drivers window down.

The manager never returned any calls from me. I wrote to Holiday Inn who just sent me a form letter appology for my inconvenience.

BMW dealership claimed they couldn't find any records of them giving a key to anyone.
