I had the same problem when I first switched to Cable about 2 years ago. If I remember correctly my e-mail was still looking for the connection for the phone line hook-up. I had to uninstall that connection and install the settings for the Cable connection. I hope this helps { I'm not that computer literate } and hopefully this will solve your problem.
