Hi Paul and everyone. I bought these about 15 years ago. Back then I tried to do a little research on the AVALON CLUB in Emeryville California. It was open from the late 1920's to the late 60's. I found an old lady dealer (yes a lady dealer in the 1950's) and she told me what Butch said... that there was a 12½¢ "condition" in the game of PAN and these chips were used in that game.

I have more than 8 of these in very good condition but I can only find 8 right now. They are for sale at $18 each to anyone on the board, I will pay the shipping.
