Last Thursday night I stopped by the Hilton to get some $1's and $5's from their new rack. The cashier showed me that the $5 chips came in two different shades of red (one dark, one light). Sure enough, when stacked together, there are definately two different shades.

I mention this (and make a record of it here on TheChipBoard) so that years from now, when future chippers are discussing light and dark red Hilton nickels (as we do now of the Four Queens light and dark pink nickel), it will be documented that the production runs, from day one, had a dark and a light red nickel.

On another note... Later that Thursday eveing, I got sick and was in bed for most of the weekend. I regret that I ended up missing some people that I very much wanted to see. Please accept my apology, but as my wife can attest to, you did not want to catch what I had, as she did!
