PokerStars tournament fiasco

I have never had a problem with my connection on PokerStars. Tonight I logged on and signed up for a $25+$2 Turbo NL Holdem 2 table tournament. I played a few hands, maybe 3 or 4 and had about 1400 chips left when I lost my connection. It tried and tried to reconnect, but couldn't. I tried to connect to The Chip Board and wasn't able to get on here either.

So, I used my AOL dial up connection and finally got back to PokerStars. When I got back I had about 1300 in chips, I was able to SLOWLY play another hand or two, then lost that connection. In desperation, I decided to try and reboot my computer. That of course, takes forever and when I tried to get back on I was still unable to.

I then decided to reboot my cable modem. After doing that I was able to quickly log back on, find the tournament and take my seat again. I had 725 chips left, there were only 5 people left in the tournament and I had just moved into the $200 big blind spot leaving me 500 or so left. One player went all in and was called. Even though I had a pretty decent hand, one that I normally would have played, I folded hoping the other player would be put out, moving me into 4th place and at least into the money. It worked. The player was knocked out, I was in 4th and was knocked out the next hand, but at least I won a few $$$ even if I didn't get to play. vbg
