I installed a full copy of aol/netscape navigator. I chose the 'off-line' version as this gives me the ability to view my website locally without actually connecting to aol.

Before I deleted everything I didnt like the look of I viewed a few sites. Some, including mine didnt view properly. I then installed the full aol javasuite. Everything now works properly.

I suspect some of the problems that aol users experience are down to their own defaut settings etc. and not aol itself.

Having said that, I only intend to retain the offline browser for testing and have already ditched the rest as I dont fully trust it
