Do you have a scarce drilled or damaged chip?
We all know they can be repaired.
Now comes the next generation for our hobby.
Does your friend have a chip you covet but can't afford? No problem. Just borrow it for a few days.
Below is one half of a mold used to make a scarce (Or non-existent chip if you prefer) hot stamped chip from scratch. You can see the mold is a wave mold. I did not see the finished chip but I am told it was perfect. I was told the formula used to make it but will reframe from posting it. Not sure I trust anyone at this time.
After the chip was removed from the mold, the new hotstamp was put on with a very ingenious method. I am sure it was tedious from what was described to me but it was a simple little idea you might not believe.
Does anyone have a $25 Sands arodie I can borrow for a few days?
