Actual stamps of yesterday each told a very specific story. In the United States after 1938 the USPS went the same route as the Nevada casions and issued 'wall paper'.
At that point in time I dropped many countries that put out items only for the collector and not for postage.
Best example is the U.S.S.R. Unless you bought the set you could not get the individual.
Hard Rock sound famililiar - never hit the table but are available to 'collectors' alias 'the novice' Take a look at ebay and make your own opinion as to 'collectability' of such.
I don't expect an increase in increase in value but have limited my collection, per my late son's advice, to Grand Opening and Casino Anniversary items at the $5 level. After that, in my opinion, ypu are chasing smoke, never to be caught'
Just my personal opinion. Collect whatever you desire, this is a hobby and to each his own.
