All I can add is, scan the chips the size you want them to be. If you have to reduce or enlarge, or any resizing, it's going to distort the image.

Your Office Jet all in one, is much better than any scanner I've ever owned, so you might need to find a nice resolution and size. 300 dpi works fine. Actual size (100%) on most HP scanners, is actually larger than "actual size" on the computer monitor, so it works.
