Glad You Liked it...

These pictures are just pieces of Nevada History. The whole Mapes debacle was so sad.

Today I got a whole envelope of pictures from Dwayne Kling. All the way from a giant matted pic of the owners of The Silver Spur to vintage shots of the Mint Club in the 40's, Dog House, A V Street shot I had never seen before(I have over 100 different), and lots more. I am honored!!

We all owe Dwayne a vote of thanks for all he has done to preserve Reno's great gaming history. Hard to believe he read every Reno newspaper cover to cover from 1931-1981..Took him 14 years to do it but he did it.

I talked with him on the phone the other evening and it is such an experience to listen to his stories and tales of Reno. He is such an incredible source of history. He was there and lived it.

His new book is due out after the first of the year. I can't wait.
