NCR - The joys of ebay

(Not going to use chip examples as experience has shown that can create hard feelings).

I have been watching laptops on Ebay. Last night a person won a laptop with a bid of $545. The problem is that the seller has this identical system listed in his ebay store with a "buy it now" price of $529 and if you use buy it now he throws in a free case ($20 option).

The top three "snipers" in this auction were all over the buy it now price.

On another auction that expired last night the person won with a final bid of $400. The buy it now price on this laptop was originally $399. Ok, so that isn't so bad. However, if you used buy it now from this seller the shipping was free (about $25).

I assume that folks are on ebay trying to save a few bucks. I am just amazed by what actually takes place. It seems that the psychology of winning the auction somehow overrides common sense at some point.

Glad this doesn't happen with chips vbg vbg
