I'm poised and ready to get the chips!

There has been lots of speculation in the press in the UK for a couple of years now - the big casinos are likely to be joint ventures with football clubs (who have lots of land and nothing happening for 220 days of the year!) and a couple of casinos on the edge of major urban areas - I can finally see a use for the Millennium Dome site!

I expect no more than 20 large casinos, and possibly some smaller ones in parts of the country where casinos are currently unable to operate, but local planning and the realities of casino operating is likely to hold the numbers back - remember, we already have 130 casinos in the UK so, apart from the big jackpot slot machines, I can't see millions of people rushing in just because they no longer have to wait 24 hours for the first visit. Better for visitors and tourists of course!
