Retired generals and admirals stay very much in the loop (and in fact are subject to being recalled to active duty at any time, if needed). Besides which, do you think they just got stupid when they retired -- or that they forgot everything they learned in 30-40 years of active military service?
Sorry, George, but with respect to military matters, the opinions of retired admirals and generals, whichever of the two candidates they support, are much more meaningful than anything said on such matters by anyone here on the ChipBoard (including me
