Pie chips that aren't dovetails

There was a discussion here a week or so ago about my scan of a Borland pie chip that, when the inlay was removed, turned out to be a dovetail chip. A poster contended that all 2-piece pie chips are dovetails.

It seemed to me I had seen some that weren't dovetails, but couldn't think of any at the time. Then I remembered the Tropicana Las Vegas NCVs. These are definitely 2-piece pies, and as you can see are not dovetails. They have the Trop house mold and I'm not sure which chip facility actually made them, but it shows the interlocking dovetail construction is NOT essential to making a pie.

I still don't have an example of a DIECAR or NEVADA mold pie-2 that isn't a dovetail, though.
