I don't think that often and in the past, people have been called out for doing the same.

To put it into perspective, I've never been contacted from anyone other than the sellers, and that's not often. Don't forget second chance offers from sellers, (it wasn't a 2nd chance offer was it?) which is part of the eBay program, where they can offer you the item if they have duplicates.

As far as low lifes who try to bypass eBay and sell the same things as you do, after the auction, it would soon become apparent who they are, unless they are very, very careful not to contact anyone who comes to The Chip Board.

Since you were a losing bidder on someone elses auction, maybe you want to contact the original seller or eBay that someone is trying to steal sales and avoid eBay fees?

The good news is, once again, if it was happening on numerous chip sales, someone would probably make note of it here, right away.
