for sale Old 633 club dice with a story grin for sale

My late father served in the Royal Navy during World War II alongside US Naval troops in the Meditteranean Sea.
Royal Navy troops each received a daily 'tot' of Navy Rum. US boats were 'dry'.
The Navy troops would pour a few tots of Rum back into the empty bottle, until it was about 1/3 full, fill it up to the top with cold tea, and sell it to the US Navy troops.
One of the problems was that people had to forgoe their Rum 'tots'.
My father had been given this pair of dice by a US serviceman from Kentucky as a souvenir of his home town, whilst both were serving in Malta. Unfortunately I dont have the name of the person from Kentucky, else Gene may have been able to do a trace grin
Having originally come from the 633 (Flamingo Club) around the time of the start of the war or even before, the dice were used on board the Nimbus minesweeper to determine who would give up their rum that day.

They are 5/8" dice, with some crystallisation, and signs of 'genuine' wear.
